Week 1

Good acting is the abiltity to totally surrender yourself to the person that you need to become the ability to just totally be free and uninhibited is amazing in itself. I have only worked in a church play I have done some background work. I would love to work on as many as possible to hone in on my craft. I would like you to teach me everything there is to know and how to make me a better actress overall.

    What does surrendering to the role mean to you. Actors often say it, but what does it look like or sound like to you? Can you describe it? Can you offer an example of someone who appeared to give themselves over complete?

      Surrendering to the role for me means that the actor tries their best to embrace life as the character. I have learned you must keep some elements of you to make the character yours but I do believe that it does take time, research, thought and effort to truly portray and give life to the chararacter
